Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Yury is a Hip-Hop artist, song-writer, producer and DJ that now resides in Brooklyn. Similar to Russ, Yury takes pride in being a one-stop shop, and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
From co-headlining Webster Hall to selling out Knitting Factory, and producing for Grammy winning artists, Yury is gradually creating a name for himself. Arguably one of the most multitalented artists rising from Brooklyn, Yury is constantly sharpening his unapologetically genuine sound. Influenced by a variety of Hip-hop acts including Dave East, 6lack, and Logic, Yury strives to be honest with all of music.
“I made the beat first and just felt like singing on it. It had a really catchy vibe so I rolled with it. ‘I do it all..’ I rap in the chorus, not so much to brag, but to remind people I a make the entire song myself from scratch. Everything you hear on the track, I created.. and it’s a great feeling,” Yury explains.
With “Grooves,” Yury revels in his honesty, while hoping to motivate others on the airy, self-produced jam.
